Pupils would have looked at the four p's and how this contributes to the promoting of products. The significance of creating opportunities whereby products can become successful, especially from the suppliers point of view.

Pupils should:

Understand the importance of marketing a product, be aware of marketing strategies in relation to products. Pupils should develop the skill of recognising what strategies companies use to promote their product.

Internet would be used to look at company web sites to collect information.

Use of software to use for presentation purposes.

Computers with Internet access. Presentational software. Worksheet for collection of data.

1. Teacher input - criteria for searching of web sites.

3. Pupils accessing Internet collecting data.

4. Group discussion on data collected.

5. Use of presentation software.

6. Presentation to class by each group.

7. Class discussion with teacher on findings.

8. Individual pupils to research a company of their own to find out marketing strategies.
