Hardware

Evaluation of hardware is currently mainly found in books and publications aimed at adult users of music technology.

Sound on Sound magazine is a well known information source, and it’s web site has a Discussion Group with a thread for music education. http://www.sospubs.co.uk/
The QCA website Includes links to The National curriculum online and the Schemes of Work www.qca.org.uk
Links for Sample Scheme of Work Includes downloadable MIDI files for accompaniments. (link not working?) The Jazz Learners' Resource http://www.bluecats.demon.co.uk
  Pupil friendly search engine with extensive music links. searchopolis.com
  For downloadable maps, useful for any music topic with a geographical context. theodora.com/maps
  A North Western University site with a list of Jazz artists with informative links. People in Jazz
  A sophisticated American popular music information site. The Jazz section has many useful categories, including decade, genre, artist and what it calls "instrument maps" which are a kind of time line. www.allmusic.com
